Mayday - Alaska Airlines Flight 261 (10 min) Part I

This video recreates the last flight of Alaska Airlines Flight 261 as it flew from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico to San Francisco International Airport before heading to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. On January 31, 2000, the flight crashed into the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Los Angeles. The pilots try to solve the situation but the stabilizer breaks free from its control system and the plane nosedives inverted into the Pacific Ocean, causing the death of all onboard. Some personal anecdotes about the passengers and crew is included in this fact-based documentary.
